- Two of my favorite techniques to use in card making are textured embossing and heat embossing! Textured embossing gives card stock subtle dimension, while heat embossing turns a stamped image into a glossy, raised design.
- The Polka Dot textured embossing folder is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Who doesn’t love polka dots?
- While Stampin’ Up! provides a number of heat emboss powders, I often want to use a color that isn’t available, so I adapt! Just use Versamark, the ink color of your choice, and Clear or Iridescent Ice emboss powder to heat and set your image. For this card, I inked the cake image in Versamark first and then immediately in the Blackberry Bliss ink before stamping on Whisper White card stock. This allows me to heat emboss in any of fabulous ink colors Stampin’ Up! provides. I chose to use the Iridescent Ice emboss powder to give the card an extra shine, but the Clear powder would work as well.
